Start with your relationship to the person: a friend, colleague, partner, relative or someone else. Their name can stay on your screen; it is not needed to shape the suggestions. Age and gender are optional too, and you can leave either blank.
Set the occasion, location and budget
Choose an occasion such as a birthday, anniversary, wedding, housewarming, graduation or thank-you. For another kind of occasion, enter your own description. Then choose the country where you plan to find and buy the gift; you can add a city as well.
Location matters: a gift available in one country may be hard to find in another. Set a minimum or maximum budget, or leave it open. The wizard uses these details to guide suggestions toward local options and prices. Availability and prices change, so check them with the seller before buying.
Add interests and things to avoid
Describe a few things the person enjoys, such as cooking, reading, travelling or spending time outdoors. You can say what to avoid and choose the kind of gift you have in mind: practical, sentimental, an experience, a gadget or something else.
You do not need to fill in every detail. With less context, suggestions are broader. Interests, age and optional gender are just hints, not a reason to make assumptions about someone.
Review the ideas and choose what fits
After a short wait, the wizard shows several different ideas with a brief explanation, an estimated price range and pointers on where to look. When suitable images are available, they help illustrate the kind of gift. Images are illustrative; they do not promise a specific product or that it is in stock.
The choice is yours: open a link, check the details or search local shops. If the first results are not quite right, adjust your answers or ask for more ideas. A new search can bring up different options.
